Remineralizing filters technical information

What is a remineralizing filter used for?

Due to the treatment processes of reverse osmosis plants and other filtration technologies, demineralized water with a high corrosive index is obtained and must be treated for its use.

The corrosive waters generated by the osmosis processes as well as other industrial water treatment processes are characterized by:

  • They have a low pH
  • They have a low hardness and are soft waters that require a mineralizing treatment.
  • They are low alkalinity waters.

Fields of application of the filtration systems for water remineralization

To solve this mismatch in osmosis water, remineralizing filters must be installed that are able to regulate the langelier index as close to zero as possible, obtaining a water with stable characteristics.

The water remineralization filters have the objective:

  1. Reverse osmosis remineralizing filter.
  2. To raise the PH of the water to optimum values.
  3. To raise the alkalinity of the water.
  4. Remineralizing postfilter after a purification process.
  5. To increase the hardness.
  6. To regulate the langelier index.
  7. Improve water taste and odor.
  8. Protect pipes, appliances and machines from corrosive water.

IMA Water remineralizers

Working parameters

IMA water remineralizing filters are manufactured with industrial qualities.

  • Maximum test pressure up to 10 bar
  • Manufactured in GRP with internal PP coating.
  • Industrial filtration valves
  • Calcium carbonate filter media

One of the most common applications of this model of filters is its installation after industrial osmosis plants that require a treatment of adequacy and remineralization of the osmosis water.
