Absorption capacities of arsenic dissolved in water 

The maximum arsenic absorption capacity per kilogram of filter media will be 5 grams. This value can be used to calculate the estimated replacement time of the filter media which will be between 3-6 years, depending on the presence of arsenic and other compounds such as sulfates and heavy metals.

Recommended inlet pH 

A pH of 6.5 will be established, which will correspond to the maximum level of arsenic removal by the filter media. This does not mean that at higher PH there is no absorption of arsenic from the water, in these cases the performance may vary between 60-99%, being the maximum at the aforementioned PH.

The maximum recommended pH where there is no absorption performance is 7.5.

Contact time 

The recommended contact time of the passage of water through the interior of the filter bed is approximately 6 minutes.
