This type of filtration system has the same operating capacity as the automatic washing equipment only that the valve front with which they work requires manual operation by an operator. 

Manual activated carbon filters are highly recommended in the following cases:

• When the water to be treated is clean and does not have a high solids load. By extending the washing range every several days or weeks, the advantages of not depending on power supply and therefore minimizing failures of this type are some parameters to be taken into account for the selection of this type of filters.
• In areas or facilities where there is a daily or weekly maintenance of both activated carbon filters and other water treatment equipment that accompany them, the use of manually operated valves can be considered in order to minimize electrical installation costs and maintenance complexity.
• For IMA water compact water treatment plants that are installed in rural or difficult access areas where failures and dependence on electrical components must be minimized.
